Lee County Fair & Charcoal Challenge BBQ There's so much to do at the Lee County Fair! Activities include live music, shopping, local art & food contests, carnival and antique carousel open for the kids. Friday is Senior Citizens Day and Saturday includes an Armed Forces Day Ceremony and Parade. At the Charcoal Challenge BBQ Cookoff, teams from all over Central Texas compete with a variety of foods, drinks and BBQ. |

Grimes Street Music Fest Enjoy music around the Courthouse Heritage Square just like the good ol' days. Bring your cooler, lawn chairs, blankets and snacks, listen and dance to tunes on Grimes Street. Firemen's July 4th Celebration and The Lee County Sheriff's Posse and Giddings Volunteer Fire Department team up for a big 4th of July Celebration. It starts with a lazy day in the park, BBQ! and an auction to benefit the Fire Department. In the evening, the Sheriff's Posse will host Championship Bull Riding, including Mutton Bustin, followed by fireworks and a dance. |

Texas Word Wrangler Book Festival (Cancelled 2020)
November, 3rd Friday and Saturday from Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm: and Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm at the Giddings Public Library, 276 N. Orange Street, Giddings TX Word Wranglers use words to convey ideas, stories, portray people and places. We want to honor our Word Wranglers for their hard work and dedication to their craft. We also want to give our community an opportunity to meet these authors and learn about the writing craft. The authors we invite to participate in our Festival have written books on children’s stories, the art of quilting, archaeology, poetry, Texas cookbooks, bird watching, fiction, history, historical fiction, mystery, romance, music, Texas Gardening, and anything related to Texas. We have a day-long festival at the Giddings Public Library & Cultural Center where authors sell their books and take questions. Some authors read or talk to groups of students that come in to the library. Sip & Shop Christmas Market Arts

Christmas at the Courthouse (Cancelled 2020) Bring the whole family to light the tree and visit Santa and Mrs Claus in Downtown Giddings at the Courthouse while live Christmas music entertains the crowd and refreshments are provided. Lights of Tejas With more than one million lights, Lights of Tejas is a Christian Christmas celebration featuring a wide variety of family-friendly activities that are held both indoors and outside, including hayrides, bounce houses, and the Birthday Party for Jesus to ziplines, 3 person swing, and an escape room. Lights of Tejas will take place over 16 magical nights at Tejas Camp and Retreat Center in Giddings. Lights of Tejas is the perfect night out for families, couples, churches, youth groups, sports teams, and others seeking a fun-filled, wholesome Christmas celebration for all.
