We
are excited to say we made it through another week... we received
beneficial rain, had some seasonal cold weather, beautiful sunny days,
and dreary, cold days this week. Good, old Texas weather! If you don't
like it, stick around... it'll change. HAHA!
This
will be a busy month with all the Valentine activities and fundraisers.
We kick off this weekend with the Lions Club Chili Bowl Open out at the
Lions Den starting tonight. Judging of the chili is tomorrow. You
should go, it'll be the perfect day for chili! You may have noticed that
the days are already getting longer(thank goodness) and the weather app
on my phone is wrong more than it is right. So I will still keep my
winter clothes and summer clothes all together in the same closet! No
need to separate the sweaters from the shorts this year. AND, I did see a
mosquito this week, which perturbed me! Not sure if they don't
hibernate when it is cold, or they just pop out at the first sign of a
sunny, warm day. Little buggers... hate em.
Congratulations to Marshall and Charles Etta Francis Family with
recognition by the City Council on Monday night. They were honored with a
Proclamation by Mayor Joel Lopez for outstanding volunteerism and work
in our community. Well deserved!
