    Greetings

As we prepare for Easter we can appreciate the warm, beautiful weather so much more now. We are grateful for sunshine and spring flowers. The harsh winter was unusual for us and very uncomfortable. We are glad to be able to sit out on the porch and enjoy lunch again.

Below are some of the wonderful events and activities that are scheduled for our community. We are looking forward to our afternoon walking meetings and the new Healthy Living Series coming soon.

Watch for new and exciting news about the Chamber Open House, Senior Expo, and the Lee County Fair.  We are working hard to get all the information out to you.

We do want to recognize our newest members of the Chamber and ask you to stop by and say hi this week..

Davam Urgent Care - former Hibbetts Sports

Happy days are here again, now that the temperatures are nice and everything is blooming.

We are happy to announce that our Chamber Member Business of the Month is Bluebonnet Electric Coop. We are so happy to recognize our members for their enormous support in the community.  Photos are forthcoming.

Spring Break has been a great time for us here at the museum. We have had lots of visitors throughout the week.  Yesterday we even had a 1928 Ford out in the front of the courthouse taking photos, so we got in on the action.  Beautifully restored, working vehicle.

Watch for our upcoming news about great things we are planning for the spring and summer. We will have new programs, new member benefits, and our survey results.

    • Special Olympics at Buffalo Stadium – March 24th
    • Riley Key Barrel Race – March 23-25th

    Greetings

We are excited about the upcoming holidays and all the activities that are held during the next several weeks.  We have worked hard to gather the information together for you and we ask you to share with your family and friends.

The Ministerial Alliance is sponsoring the Community Thanksgiving Service which is coming up on Sunday at the First Baptist Church. It is held right after the Christmas Merry Marketplace. We hope you will stop by and get some of your shopping done.

Christmas at the Courthouse is also exciting as we return to the courthouse square to celebrate with the community.

    Greetings!

What lovely weather we are having this week! If you haven't walked outside for the pure joy of walking outside - YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

It is October and that means better weather, high school football, band contest, and HALLOWEEN! We have just a few reminders for you and some volunteer opportunities coming up in the next couple of weeks.  If you like good old fashion entertainment, you will enjoy the UIL Marching contest this weekend. If you can volunteer a couple of hours in the concession stand - that's even better!

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Giddings is hosting the 2017 UIL 18/26 Marching Contest on Saturday, October 21, 2017.

We have 20 bands coming to this competition this year. It is the Band Boosters biggest fundraiser that we have. The band boosters just contributed $25,000 for new uniforms for the band. We are needing volunteers to help in different areas during the contest. The band parents (especially Senior parents) would like to watch the Giddings band perform at 7:45 (the last band performance of the night)

    • Here is where we are needing help:
