This morning the weather outside was almost perfect! It brought a smile to my face as soon as I opened the door and walked out to check on the plants. After yesterday's oppressive heat it was important to give everything a nice drink of water.
It is amazing how much the humidity can affect the temperature and what you are able to accomplish when it feels nice outside! It is great to see people out and about shopping and working. We have been able to visit with our friends and catch up on everything. People are glad to see things returning to normal after the last several months of staying home.
We are happy to announce the Grimes Street Music Fest is happening again this year on the Courthouse Square on July 3rd. Then on Saturday, July 4th the Giddings Volunteer Fire Department will host their annual Firemen's Feast and Firework's Show. Also the Lee County Sheriff's Posse will host the Fury on the 4th with Championship Bull Riding. Great community events that are outdoors with plenty of fresh air and warm temperatures.
All of this information is great news for our community! We look forward to seeing you out and about!
Deadline - Friday, June 12
