Texas Word Wrangler Book Festival

27 Aug 2013 4:11 PM | Kelita Alberts (Administrator)

Greetings,

It is that time of year again! School has started, football is on the horizon and the Texas Word Wrangler Festival is coming to Giddings!

September 12th and 13th the Giddings Public Library will welcome 21 authors to town for this wonderful, culturally rich event.  Grab your book bag, your reading glasses and library card for a day filled with all kinds of interesting topics. The list includes books for every age and every interest.  Some of the authors will visit the local schools to talk to the students about the writing process and the making of a book. We are fortunate to have Dr. Jeff Kerr with his new book about Austin. He was featured in the Austin American Statesman over the weekend.  Plenty of great authors for every type of reader!  You decide who you would like to visit with at this event.

As an added bonus, we are accepting coupons to go in the sponsor bags from Chamber members.  We will even pick your coupons or brochures to make sure we get everything in time.  Coupons, brochures or promotional items are great reminders to our visitors about all the great things to see and do while they are in Giddings.

The Gala event is on Thursday night at the Library! Meet and greet all the authors before for the public event on Friday! Tickets are available at the Giddings Public Library. All proceeds benefit the library programs.
