Violinist Tomas Cotik will perform an all-Bach Violin Recital in the intimate Edythe Bates Old Chapel at Festival Hill on Saturday, October 26 at 3:00 PM.

A native of Argentina, Tomas Cotik is an internationally recognized soloist, chamber musician and professor. Dr. Cotik earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Miami. He holds a degree in both Bachelor and Master of Music from the Freiburg University of Music in Germany.

Mr. Cotik has performed hundreds of chamber music concerts internationally, participated in more than 15 international music festivals, and served as concertmaster with several symphonies. He has performed with several internationally prominent conductors such as Michael Tilson Thomas and Robert Spano in significant venues including Carnegie Hall.

Committed to both performing and teaching, Dr. Cotik is the violin professor at Portland State University in Oregon, where he recently received the inaugural Dean's Council Award For Research, Scholarship & Creativity for his significant contributions to research, scholarship and creative activity at the international level. He has held master classes at universities and festivals across the country including the Round Top Music Festival where he has served as a member of the violin faculty since 2018.

Adult $25, Student $10. General seating. Tickets may be bought online at www.festivalhill.org, by calling the Institute office at 979-249-3129, or at the door. Tickets will be held at will call at the entrance to the chapel. Door opens at 2:00 PM.

A reservation-only buffet lunch will be served before the concert at 12:45 pm in the Menke House Dining Hall, $24 plus tax. Chef's Choice Menu includes entree, salad bar, vegetable, bread, dessert, iced tea and coffee. Purchase lunches in advance when you buy your concert tickets.

Round Top Festival Institute is located on Texas Highway 237, one-half mile north of Round Top, Texas at Jaster Road. Physical address is 248 Jaster Road, Round Top, Texas.
